    Hello from Central Europe!

    Hi Guys!

I'm a recent convert to hammocks and I'm not going back to the dirt. I was never happy with the comfort even a Thermarest gave me when on what looked like flat ground, somehow there was always a lump or bump that spoilt my sleep.

I'm still learning and plan on making my own UQ and tarp when I pay a visit to my rents back in the UK (I'm a Brit expat) as my mum is pretty nifty with a thread injector and want her to teach me. I've already sewn loops into my webbing with it when I was back for Xmas so looking forward to that.

This forum is great and is a mine of good tips and many thousands of hours combined hanging experience, great stuff!

    Happy hanging!

    Colin

Yeah I have a few pics right now of my first hang, I'll get on with putting some pics up in the trip reports forum. (need to check out the forum FAQ on image size first though so I don't get a clip around the lughole for posting the wrong size etc.)
