Here is a question for you veteran Yeti ... backpacking or car camping or a combination of both? My son and I both have pulks to bring in stuff. I usually backpack myself and do more car camping with the scouts. I have dry firewood but no newsprint to bring. Would it be unreasonable to bring a two burner Coleman stove? Do we need a dining fly or popup canopy? I see camp chairs. Water jugs or all snow melt?

Sorry I have been camping on the coast.....We just got back today and I saw this thread became very active.....that's awesome!!!!! The forecast looks to be warmer and wetter than previous ......so some of you that may have been on the fence about the cold can make it happen....
As for a canopy I will bring a 24x36 tarp for the main hangout area and a 10x12 tarp for the fire wood[so please bring a couple bundles with you] I will also have a regular size JetSled that people can borrow to haul in gear if they need ....The main hangout will be setup at the same place as last year....
Yes a lot of us bring camping chairs to hang out at the fire so please bring yours for yourself....as for water ....I haul in water as needed and keep the rest in a cooler in my car....but with the weather being as warm as it says it will be no worries of frozen water issues.....again bring what you need for yourself to stay comfy and full.....don't forget your sno-park pass and a bundle or two of wood and looking forward to another great hang

    Benson you will be missed!!!!

the link on the top page 5 works...

I also bring in water -- i wouldn't count on the snow for melting, may not be much ;(

a 2 burner stove is welcome! I can bring a fuel bottle or 2 if you'd be up for sharing.

I'll also bring a liquid fuel coleman lantern to help light up the group area.
