Thanks Ed for getting everything organized. I wish I could have spent the night but the boys and I had a great visit Friday night. Anybody up for a Green Timbers weekend in early December?

That is love in a bun!

I had a great weekend...just wished I could have stayed Thursday night for a chance at sampling those pork chops at Friday’s lunch...meh, work :-(

What I did get to eat was all good. Notable meals; Christo’s bean soup (polished off 3 bowls of that), Gregory’s cinnamon roll wrapped bacon, and Ed’s omelette.

Good food, hot fire, great conversation.

Really nice to have met you all. Some of you for a second time. I hope to see you all at the Michigan Bushcraft Spring Gathering 2019, May 3-5. I’ll bust my butt to make Green Timbers this year.

After returning home, I still have yet to feel hungry.... Must have eaten too much for Gluttony, but that is sorta the whole point, plus the fellowship, laughs, stories, and meeting friends, old and new, around the fire.

Here are a few of my better pictures. Seems I didn't take as many as last year, always had food in my hands or my mug.

    20181101_082044.jpg20181101_145955.jpg20181101_150127.jpg20181102_164833.jpg20181102_170546.jpg20181103_154757.jpg20181103_154827.jpg20181103_154842.jpg20181103_155542.jpg20181103_155549.jpg20181103_173726.jpg20181103_174046.jpg20181104_075934.jpg

These pictures start with my 8 AM arrival on Thursday and progress thru food, fire, scenery, people, and anything else that I thought picture worthy. The Bacon Master Ed did receive a few photos it seems....

I had a great time, enjoyed meeting everyone, both old friends and new friends, and obviously, ate too much food. But it was wonderful!! Thanks everyone for pitching in and all the hard work.

Not sure how we can improve on the setup or schedule, about only thing next year would be a few more pop ups, which would have been missed if weather had really gotten nasty. Perfect weather was delightful.

Did anyone get picture of Ed the Axe cutting into his Pork Steak??

Now to be patient and wait for the next gathering.... /GRIN

Thank you all for making my first group hang a successful one. I had an absolute blast and look forward to more. I'm so glad to be part of this awesome group. And the food was absolutely awesome as well. The amount of knowledge this group held still amazes me. Learned more in a single weekend then I did in 5 years of backpacking.

    Have to admire such dedication.

Is the reflectix wrapped box the dog's house?
