Wow George, I hope they catch the perpetrator. That is very scary and hopefully your daughter can get her car back.

Really it does happen sometimes. I was at a campout in October, and trying to get out of my tent with my car keys so I wouldn't forget them. I accidentally hit the alarm button

Don't hate us - just keep our car keys safely away in the early morning hours!

George, I am so sorry your family has suffered this ugliness. I try not to wish bad things on people but I do hope that he understands, in his heart, the full measure of the pain he has caused. More than that, I pray your daughter and her family can put this in the past and move forward with the smallest possible impact.
