OK, after posting, I found a lot of answers under similar threads below. Still, any thoughts would be appreciated.
For use as tarp tieouts?
Some of my tarps have Lineloc 3's permanently attached for the ground tieouts. In those cases, I use lengths of Dutch Reflect-it with spliced loops at the ends that will attach to the stakes.
For my tarps with split rings at the tieouts, I have made loops of 3/32" shock cord, wrapped through the Lineloc bar about 4-5 times before tying the loop closed. I will then lark's head the shock cord loop to the tarp split rings, and again use Reflect-it through the working part of the Lineloc.
I'll add though that I also really like Dutch's tarp worms, which would take the place of the Lineloc.

Other good cordage types that work well with Lineloc 3's:
Lawson Glowire 2mm
Lawson Statline 1.75mm
Samson Zing-it 1.75mm
3/32" shock cord will work, too.

When using splice-able cordage with Lineloc 3's, I like to make an end bury in the line, then run through the Lineloc, then tie a figure 8 knot in the extra-thick end of the cord where the bury is. This keeps the cord from coming out of the Lineloc, serves as a good place to grip and pull, and gives a really clean finished appearance.
+ 1 on the glowire. https://lawsonequipment.com/Cordage/...ire-p1024.html . The 2mm and 3mm work great in line loc 3's, but the 2 mm is as heavy a line as you'll ever need. If you want to go completely insane on strength, his bear bagging line will work, too.
Not spliceable in the practical sense, no.
I'm a cordage geek, though. I tried once and almost succeeded. I could remove the core where I was going to bury, but the jacket is so tightly braided that pulling even a tapered end through is not practical. I tried with statline, too, which is hollow braided, but it was the same story. For a non reflective, easily spliceable guyline, I'd look at Wal-mart for 1.75mm Zing it or Lash it
Edit: If you go with zing it or lash it on Line loc 3's you'll need to add a slipped half hitch after you tension the lines, which may not be what you want.
