Not to derail the thread to much but if anyone has Info on renting a Hot Tent for a few nights please PM me. Looking for something along the lines of a Snow Trekker EXP Basecamp.

You could try contacting Canadian Outdoor Equipment in Mississauga. Last time I was in there about a month ago they mentioned that they offer hot tent rentals. Unfortunately I can’t find any information about rentals on their website though.

I am new to the forum but would love to come to some of these events. I should be able to make it to the Valens trip, not sure about the February one though.

My understanding was that we were heading over to Valens after the symposium for the main hang, although nothings stopping folks from staging at Valens the day before..

If anyone comes across any extra tickets for the symposium I’d be willing to buy one. I hesitated and missed my chance before they sold out.

Same thing happened to me last year. Sorry, but if I had a spare, you'd be the first on the list.

Welcome to the forums. this is a good group of folks that enjoy excellent company, great food, and the occasional nap in the frosty air.
Be sure to post in the Introductions for a proper welcome!

Or just convince him that other people are tastier. Ignore me if I sprinkle Montreal steak spice on you.

Should be in for January, we'll see about Feb. I keep wanting to do winter backcountry but it never works out.

Frankly the thought of you winter camping scares me a little. Your summer slumbers are so legendary that I'd be afraid you'd go to bed and hibernate until the spring!
