So true. Gave me a good laugh as well.

Don't let life get in the way of living.
That's great! So true. I've already passed this along to my ground pounder friends in a hope to convert them!
No pad or underquilt?
"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." Ralph Waldo Emerson
Very funny and very true.
That's a classic. I see he had example of "peeing from the hammock" at 4:21 and showed another technique in action.
Sadly, in the past I've been that guy with the tent more times than I'd care to admit.
Then I discovered hammocks. The rest is a wet, muddy, distant past.
No signs,no fees,no rules, nobody. My kind of campsite.
A friend uses a UGQ Tarp then sets up his tent under it...he is half way there but has not yet got off the ground.....but at least he is dry

At the risk of receiving hammock hate......
Even though I love my hammock and praise the merits of hammock camping, this is a great example of how not to use a tent, and why you don't buy a cheap tent. I could easily make a video showing just the opposite. In my experience I can set up a quality tent considerably faster than a hammock and do so with my inflatable pad and sleeping bag already inside it.
I've used tents for 35 years and they have their own merits and benefits. Sadly, I see many people trashing tent use out of frustration simply because they have never developed some of the finer skills of tenting, or never were able to get comfortable on the ground which requires the correct gear.
Some folks will be never be comfortable on the ground and that's fine, I get it.
I love my hammock because for me it's cooler in the warmer months than a tent, and I can side sleep better. I also find there are a few downsides such as making it impossible to do map work since there is no firm, flat surface to work on. I also love having all my gear at arm's length with me in a tent.
Sorry if I have ruffled any feathers.....just my honest perspective.
