My Scuba gear is positively festooned with these; Especially helpful on night dives and near zero quarry visibility

the 2mm Glowire works just fine with Lineloc 3s. I have not had it slip on any of my tarps.

    I would buy some.

Same here. I used 2mm on all corner LineLocs of a winter tarp I had set up earlier this year. Doors closed. The daytime winds off of the lake were so strong that I ended up skinning the tarp most days. No slippage whatsoever.

1.2mm would be pretty sweet & I’d buy a few hanks of that, if it were available.

I’m curious about something though... 1.7mm diameter seemed to be the standard not that long ago. Now 2mm seems to be the sweet spot. Why the transition?

Total, non-researched WAG on my part, but break strength of UHMWPE is so high (~500 lbs @ 1.7mm dia) compared to most polyester-jacketed stuff (~ 225 lb @ 2mm) that the smaller diameter for zing-it/lash-it is more than adequate.

In fact, I would say 2mm Glowire works better than 3mm with Lineloc 3’s. It’s easier to tension one handed. The 3mm seems like overkill for a tarp IMO.

Personally, I like the 2.0 mm because it is works good in Linelocs and it is easy to tie. But everyone seems to be concerned about an extra ounce they have to carry.

Some reflective zipper pulls with the Lawson name on them would be a good product. Trick out a Hammock with some reflective continuous loops and ridgeline and maybe even the Whoopies. That would look cool.

Just going to randomly chime in about Z-Line Reflective cord = awesome. Superlight, strong, stiff and in general, great. If Lawson were to make some and word got out, you'd sell a lot. Z-line in the 1.2mm is very popular in the UL crowd.
