That was a very nicely done film of my neighborhood. We live on Miller Canyon wash which is the next canyon south. I did endurance racing for over 25 years and used to train on Carr Canyon road every day. My mentor taught me that if I can go from the bottom to the townsite and my recoveries were good that I was ready for a hundred miler and you can see why. :-) I am going to try to make the hang but family is taking priority now with the death of my Father last week and the possible passing soon of my Father in Law in Sierra Vista so it's a toss-up as to if I can make it. I will certainly try as I will probably need a break by May. If anyone wants to know trails to hike or places to eat and things to do just drop me a line, I've lived here for 40 years. If you are a birder, the famous Ramsey Canyon Preserve is in the next canyon north of Carr. There is a trailhead directly across the road from the townsite that leads to Miller Peak ( 9,000 + feet ) and the AZT connection behind the peak and there are numerous trails below at lower elevations in Carr, Miller and Brown Canyons, some with loops that are possibly easier for those not used to higher elevational exertions. Happy hanging everyone!

Me too, with the change up. Going to bring some Brunswick Stew for the early arrivals.
Also bringing my big charcoal grill and charcoal for anyone that wants to use it.
Finally, less than a week to go!

Ok, so I decided today I’m doing a brisket. The question is how much will be left for y’all when you get there! The early arrivals will make out big time.

It’s gonna be a real small group! I count about 10 or so.
