Drove up to the CG yesterday with a fellow YouTuber - will post a video of the drive in the next week or so. Bottom line: the road is in good shape, but lots of switchbacks with no guardrail... My Subaru made it without a hint of an issue. There's a few rough spots, but just take it easy and you'll be in good shape.

THERE IS NO POTABLE WATER. Bring water to drink, cook and wash up in. Plenty of TP in the bathrooms, but knowing you guys...

The CG is in great shape. As it turns out, the group CG has very few trees for hanging. We would have been in trouble had we actually reserved it. Here's pictures of the sites:

OK, I hit the picture limit for posts... Lots of good sites. I won't tell anyone where to camp, because you are just going to pick out your spot when you get there anyway. Most of the sites should accommodate 2 cars & hammocks with no problem. Those that want seclusion can go for the hillside behind the open area of the panoramic photo.

60's during the day, mid-40's at night. I camped in site #5. The wind was brutal, about 30mph all night long. The Huachucas seem to be a windy area, lots of wind there in prior trips. The good news is the Reef Townsite CG is in a lower area, giving some protection from the wind. Bring good stakes for your tarp.

There is still quite a bit of snow up on Carr Peak, but by the time we have the hang next month it'll all be gone.

Rick just published a YT video combining my footage and his. He has some great drone footage of the switchbacks and views from the Huachucas. Check it out:

Wow, some Ricky racer moments there... I may not be able to stay over Saturday & Sunday, may just go for an early Wed/Thursday/Friday due to Wife's schedule. Who else is going early?
