I wasn't expecting a trip video for a while with your injured wing. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I saw the video in my feed. Looks like you had a great trip.

I have been eyeing one of those Amok Draumr XL's for a short while. I need to decide so I can pre-order one before the end of the month to receive the 15% off. I can't decide if I really want one or if I just think I do. It looks like it may be very comfortable.

Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. Get better soon!

Oh Mr. Shug, cool long video. I like how you did that trip. Real sweet recording, man. Really killer editing. Such a blast to watch your videos Shug. They’re real cool.
Very entertaining. I especially liked the close look at the cooking and food.

I don't think it's possible for any of your videos to be too long! We can always skip thru, but there's no "add more Shug" button on the remote.

I'm looking forward to a relaxing solo next week myself.
Fun to do a long one on the editing front. Easier. But I still cut out a lot.

Again, thanks for the kind words, and I look forward to the next adventure you get out on, or just a lollygag, or maybe a visit from the Maple King! Those solo trips can be the best ones, time to think, no one to interrupt. Thanks!
I was curious if the hiking pole would bother my shoulder but kept that pole light. Did not bare down.
    Relaxing trip.

I have been itching to get out. The Draumr XL is really a fun hammock.

It was an easy edit...just cut out a lot of palaver. Got a bit chatty out there. Thanks.

I know I am going to enjoy watching your video. Two or three days ago was the fourth anniversary of a trip I took to Superior to visit family. Years back in high school I’d also visiited a small piece of the south shore of Lake Superior at this time of year; Port Wing and a couple neighboring spots. I always wanted to go back. I hope to schedule a future trip to the area you present with my younger brother, who resides in Superior and this year has started kayaking in the bay. What you share will be instrumental in getting a trip arranged. It won’t likely be in the immediate future, but it’s on the bucket list.

    Thanks Shug!

These are the best kind of trips.

When I was on the AT the Miles were always on your mind. Near the end I would pass a cool spot and think man I can’t wait to finish and be able to do this for fun again.

A month or so ago I met some friends in Shenandoah for a big hike. They ended up driving home after so I drove a few miles up the road and hopped on a trail and found a beautiful little spot for the hammock. Woke up the next day and stopped at every outlook on skyline drive and just sat on the hood of my car enjoying the breeze.

    Lazy backpacking is best backpacking

Nice looking sites. You weren't kidding about having the sites to yourself. So pretty up there this time of year.
