getting cold, getting crazy, getting another tq. Survey says? boxed footbox or zippered drawcord

I'm on the fence with the foot box on a 0 degree top quilt. Help me decide hammockers. I would say I'm a cold sleeper and although I value the versatility of the drawcord I'm not sure it's worth it in a 0-degree tq. That, and my 30 degree Feathered Friends drives me a bit nuts unzipping on it's own. For reference I'm looking at the UGQ Bandit.

I'd put 30 OQs on both bottoms, wicker the feet with Parse 10-cord, then bridge to the moisture barrier with common Z-Cam. That should do it down to a 25 wet-bulb, but anything lower and you'll need a FlyMass.

My line of thought is drawcord on lighter quilts for late spring - early fall; fully-insulated, sewn footbox on winter quilts. On a 20* quilt, it's sort of a toss-up, but for me it would be a no-brainer on a 0* TQ.

Paul & co. at UGQ do a really nice fully-insulated sewn footbox on the Bandit. There are also 2 KAM snaps that can close up the foot-end even more.

Get the footbox - that drawcord is just a pain in the butt.

For me personally, I've already decided that I'm getting a sewn-in footbox on my next top quilt.

For me the sewn in foot box is the only way to go. I get too warm my foot comes out still too warm my leg comes out. Quick and easy fix. If I am really cold the insulated foot boc with socks does the job.
I use either a 20° F UQ or 0° F then I adjust with the TQ. SINCE 2004 I have been tto warm once and that was in a Hennessy on a muggy August night in a very humid valley full of campfire smoke, no breeze and me zipped in to keep insects at bay.

I think the built-in insulated foot box is the Cats Meow! Very adaptable.

I legitimately can't decide if this is a joke post or really sage, albeit super technical, advice. Somebody ding me when Shug does an explainer video.

Actually, that post could be the basis for an awesome video! I'm picturing dream sequences, flashbacks, fake deaths, explosions, the whole nine yards.

    EXT LOC: THE MINNESOTA FOREST

SLOW PAN FROM ABOVE, EVENTUALLY FOCUSING ON A TRAIN CHUGGING THROUGH THE TREES.

WE CLOSE IN ON THE MIGHTY DIESEL. TWO MEN ARE FIGHTING ON ITS ROOF. A HAMMOCK IS SWINGING, HUNG ABOVE THE ENGINEER'S COMPARTMENT.

OUR HERO GRABS THREE CHAINSAWS FROM THE DECK AND JUGGLES EXPERTLY AS HE WALKS BACK TOWARDS THE HAMMOCK. THE TRAIN APPROACHES A TALL TUNNEL.

JUST AS THE TRAIN GETS TO THE TUNNEL, HE REACHES THE HAMMOCK, THROWS THE SAWS, AND GENTLY LEANS BACK IN SUPREME COMFORT. THE FLYING SAWS CLEANLY TAKE OFF HIS OPPONENT'S HEAD. THE BODY FALLS OFF THE SIDE.

SHUG: Whooooo Buddy! Looks like you just...(HE SIPS COFFEE)...went to ground.

EXPLOSION AND TITLE SEQUENCE: ALL SECURE IN SECTOR SEVEN

    (END SCENE)
