    Ridge creek xl question

I bought a 3s ridgecreek xl at the end of August and just got to try it out last night. The temps were in the high 40s I think the low was 46. And I was cold all night I had a WL 20* TQ and was sleeping in jogging pants and a t shirt with socks. Now I know everyone is different but I see people talk about 25* nights and just a few more pieces of clothing than I was wearing. Here are some pictures and there seems to be a big gap in between the underquilt and me even when I’m laying in it any thoughts? IMG_0214.jpgIMG_0215.jpg

Oh yeah good point, I was thinking about the Ridge Creek 3/4. Whats your suspension look like? Only other thing I can think is that you have the RR hung too loose so that the bridge is too curved. This means the quilt doesn't have a chance to get full stretched out.

IMG_0216.jpg. The hang is 25* and it lays flat when I’m in it

We have found that for a few folks...keep in mind that everyone's body build is different and loads in the hammock unique to each individual...that attaching to the amsteel lines above the buckles helps to increase the tension fit of the XL.

Didn't enjoy reading this as I just ordered one couple of hours ago! But it sure does look like a gap, and any gap will NOT work! Everything else I have read is folks talking about what a custom it it is, just clip on and you have a snug fit. Sure, people are different, but I personally expect no problems at all at 25F with 6 oz.sq.yd. Climashield Apex. 2.5 osy kept me warm into the 40s with nothing but cotton jeans/T shirt. One time at least!

Mine fits perfectly with it clipped into the grosgrain loops. I would measure it and talk to Paul. Maybe it just fell out of specs.

I just tried out my new to me Ridgecreek. I had it on backwards, and it did create a slight gap. If you stretch the ends out, you'll notice that there is a head and foot end. I haven't slept in it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll be going back to a pad as expected. Not sure theres any benefit in the ridgerunner to using a quilt.
