    Moving Threads

It sure would be helpful, not to mention good manners, if a note appeared in the place of the moved thread stating where it can be found. A link would be even better. Thanks.

We move a LOT of threads every day. Leaving links is not an option. If we move a thread to the DM area and the OP is not a DM, we PM them so they know why their threads are gone.

If you want to find your threads or posts, you can open your profile and find them there: Latest posts or Threads started.

I never figured this policy out in the short period I helped moderate HF's.

Other vBulletin powered forums I frequent usually leave a "Moved" message behind and often a link. I'm guessing it is a simple feature to implement/activate and might require little to no extra work for our mods.

Sometimes these links do lead to a "you don't have correct privileges" type notice that tells me the thread was either removed or moved to a moderator only area.

That's what I thought...an automatic post that redirects the reader to the thread's new location.
