I am ready to be out of the house for a while.
Actually Meg is even more happy as she is having her girlfriends over for a skating party.
Will cook ribs and make shortbread tomorrow. Maybe Dutch Oven dish too since I just got one for Christmas.

Last minute updates. These will be posted on the spread sheet as well. I want to let everyone know a few things to help prep for the weekend.
>There is no decent water source at the site without snow. The easiest way to keep water going is for everyone to bring a 1 gallon jug of water along. It's cheap and easy. If the water freezes, we just cut the plastic and melt the ice in the water pot. Extra jugs can be left behind for the next trip.
>The weather looks mild this weekend. Highs in the mid 30s and night time lows in the 20s. This is definitely "wet cold" weather.
>I spoke with the land owner about snow and ice conditions and he said the driveway is a skate rink due to the recent rain and freeze. There is also a lot of ice on the path to the site. Please be sure to bring cleats, spikes, or what ever you need to get traction on the ice.
>Since this is private land and we have a large group this weekend, I will be renting a porta poty. It will be parked in the driveway area where you enter the woods. This is something I first tried a few weeks ago when I had another group over 30 camping out and it was well used so i'm doing it again. I know most of your are comfortable or even prefer just going in the woods LNT style and burning your paper, that's fine too. That said, it would be much appreciated if everyone could pitch in $5 towards the rental. It goes a long way to help keep the property clean. Thanks!
>Do you like to bike or hike? There is access right from our site to a huge maze of bike trails and the Ice Age Trail in Hartman Creek State Park which boarders the property. Feel free to bring a bike or go for a hike this weekend. Hiking costs nothing but there is a trail pass you need for the bike trails. You can easily park at the IAT trail head 5-7 miles south of the site and hike in then bushwhack right to the fire pit.

Yea everything up here is pure ice right now, be prepared.
Once you're lost in twilight's blue, you don't find your way, the way finds you.
I have homemade apple pie I can do in the dutch oven if anyone is interested in that as an extra warning treat.... just let me know.
My last shout out to anyone who may needs some extra gear.....
To only step where others have stepped means not to have your own adventures. Live, Love, and Adventure so you may leave your own foot prints!
As I recall, Kattdogg makes a good apple pie.
The game is the best teacher.
Ribs done.......12 racks of baby backs.
Starting Shortbread now.
