So, you own more than one, they live in stuff sacks. How do you know which one is which?
Do you write a name? Make some sort of label? Just hang them up all the time?

Mine aree all different colors with a matcing stuff sack.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.
Sandwich baggie with a paper inside with specs written on it. This stuffed into the top of the stuff sack.

All components in my collection have completely different looking stuff sacks, so identifying "which is which" is easy for me.

I also have different color stuff sacks so they are recognizeablebat a glance.
Most of my stuff has different stuff sacks. My tarps stay in their mesh skins so it's easy to tell which is which. A couple of my hammocks have black stuff sacks. I pull the gathered end out at the head end and cinch the stuff sack around where it's bunched up. That allows me to see the color and let's me know which end is head end.

I have 3 Warbonnet tarps and 2 hammocks. So 5 nearly identical bags! I've told the story of accidentally taking 2 tarps on a trip and leaving the hammock at home...so that was the first and last time for that.
I just write a small indication on the cord lock with a silver sharpie marker. SF (Superfly), MJ (Mamajamba), 1.1DL (1.1DL hammock), 1.6SL (1.6 single layer hammock), etc.
I like consistency and things that match, even if the stakes are high!
I like starting sentences with "I".
I have a blaze orange sil stuff sack that I always use. I'll move it to the whatever hammock I'll be using, depending on the season. Easy peasy...
I got some "sale" tags from an office supply store. The one's with the tag and a small loop of string. I just have stuff labeled with those. "8 foot straps" "6 foot straps with TI clips". "WBBB". Once I pull the gear to go camping, I remove the tags and pack up. Return from the outing, clean and dry and just put the label's/tags back on and store it.
Most of the stuff sacks I have, came with the gear and come in any color, as long as it is black.
Some newer gear I have, have small tags already on them (Dream hammock), so no label.
Most of my quilts came with a large cotton bag for storage, or I got one to use. I used a Sharpie marker on the cotton storage bags "20 degree TQ".
