Yet another new guy, but we all where at one time..
Went down an YouTube rabbit hole, and stumbled onto some hammock videos. And a slightly offbeat snowbird, that reminds me of Robin William's.
Reading some of the threads, I knew I had to join in.... my introduction to hammocks happen at a music festival. UNDER the stage. Seems that after the stage is setup there is whole lot of time to kill and a lot of hammocks. Come out and get hung under the stages. It is so common that we have nicknamed that area hammock town
I work as a power lineman by trade, and a pyro and fox technician as a side thing/hobby hence the under the stage thing.
Hammock camping, just seems like a natural evolution to me on the journey for me. As I have gone from tent to tarp and now making the move to hammock and tarp.
