Understood, but I was considering using it as an alternative to a mesh. So I was wondering if I could get away with out using a vent for a simpler design. I would not rely on it to trap heat. I’m just thinking it may be a nicer feel and more durable and have a little bit of novelty factor to it.
Would be nice if you added the new fabric to the hammock fabric comparison chart. I'm most interested where it falls in the lineup weight rating as a single layer.

The only downside (see what I did there? lol) that I can think of is that bug nets are not designed to lay against you or the blood suckers with bite right through it. I fell asleep with my arm laying against my bug net one time and I about got ate up. It would have to be pre-treated before using. I love the concept though.
I would imagine this Monolite fabric would be slightly more resistant to bugs biting through than mesh with bigger holes in it. So as an alternative to a mesh top, it’s still an improvement. As a hammock body, I suppose it’s more susceptible to bugs biting through it, but an UQ/pad solves that.
So what does the total weight for a standard 11’ hammock?
