How about a toe warmer and snow flakes would that work?

The road up to our camp a spring hang or so back stays open. It’s near Heber - Wildcat road I think it was called? It’s open. Plenty of room.

January an February we get the most snow. March the snow can slow down. 300 road most likely the gate is closed, but we could park there and find a camp. we can go over to wild cat too, that's what need's to be decided

I’m available the weekend of Jan 25 or February 1. What do you think about those dates? There is lots of snow, so conditions will be ideal.

I called the ranger station to inquire about winter camp sites, but they are closed due to the government shut down. Road 300 even if open it can be tricky with all the snow we’ve had recently. One spot I like to camp at is behind Willow Springs lake. There is a back road that does not have a gate. It is just a short drive in to the lake and then you can camp near your car. Typically they do not allow camping back there, but the Rangers have told me that in the winter time They do not prohibit it as long as you pack out your garbage. I’m sure there are other locations between Payson in Heber that will also work including the road to Young. Let me do a little digging and I’ll see what I can come up with.

Planning a date is always tricky. So let's move this out to March so we can have plenty of time to plan. The date will be March 1-3. If you can make it, cool. If not - we'll be doing it again next year. Last year was a lot of fun and we had 4-5 people. I'll finalize the location and make sure we are camping near our vehicles for safety and convenience. Plus I can bring my smoker to slow cook some meat and bake some bread.

I hope to see you there.

I will give this one a thought once I know the location. Camping near a vehicle nice.
