Intimidator, these look great. Is this material for making packs and stuff. Or would you recommend it for—tarps?

Hi! This is the 2.92 DCF, most commonly used on backpacks and similar.

Not really the best material for that, because it is much too stiff. This is the same hybrid material that we have sold/has been around for a while. Zpacks uses it on all of their blast backpacks. It weighs 3 oz/square yard so it is a lot heavier than the 0.51 oz DCF used by Hammock Gear and the like for tarps.

We will also be offering printed DCF blanks in the 1.0 oz variant, which is perfect for dry bags, stuff sacks, pack covers etc.

    Hope that helps!

Hey guys! Just a heads up that we've now opened the first printed Dyneema product for ordering. Just like Omnicolor for our standard fabrics, Omnicolor for DCF gives you the power to specify a custom color and have us print it directly to your choice of DCF fabric...

Right now we're running a launch deal for 15% Off normal pricing, so if you're placing an order remember to use the discount code "DCFINCOLOR-15".

Unfortunately, we can't handle a ton of print volume for the Dyneema right now without incurring some long lead times. That being said, I can't say how long the launch pricing will hold.

Lastly, we've had some requests to come up with a correspondence chart of stock colors like Burnt Orange and Moroccan Blue to the Pantone codes. We're putting that together and should be able to post it up soon.

If you have questions, shoot as always. THANKS!!!

UPDATE - Just a heads up that we're currently on an approx 3-4 day lead time for all Omnicolor Dyneema Composite Fabric orders. We're pushing, but there have been more than a few orders come in.

We've also gotten a number of requests for a list of Pantone codes that offer the best match to some of our most popular colors. So we made that list...

We're planning to close down the launch sale tomorrow night at 11:59 PM EST. Be sure to use discount code "DCFINCOLOR-15" at checkout.

    Thanks!
