I've used these together a number of times, but I never measure the stand line lengths. I use a variety of hammocks on the stand and make adjustments for each. By eyeballing, I'd suggest maybe lengthen the stand ridgeline a bit, maybe incrementally. Then you can adjust the baseline for the sit height, which may also help with shoulder clearance around the poles. 4-5 feet sounds closer than 3-4 feet, based on my experience, but without having measured.

Please try removing the stand ridgeline. This should let the apexes sink and the hammock rise. Alternatively, a longer ridgeline than we supply.

I don’t know. The ridge line is pretty slack when I get in. The picture here is after some more tweaks and have (apparently) made things worse.

This is most puzzling! I'm starting to wonder whether there may be significant variation in the length of RR suspensions.

Reducing the tilt of the stand will distribute some of that ample foot-side clearance toward your head, but I have a feeling that adjustment alone won't suffice. RR Tensa4 owners, what's going on here?

Tighten the two ground tie outs to raise the hammock and pull Down the legs. And bring the base to 44” or so.

And make sure the ends of the dog bones get to the apex.

But Saltfly, it appears you have tensioned both guylines to "pry open" the stand, is that right? We discourage this generally for a variety of mostly arcane reasons, and I've seen RR work well without doing so. But I admit I'm stumped by what jdy98p reports.

The one end is pulled tight. The other end is just prevented from going up from a resting position with no weight in it. I’ve tried every way to Sunday to make that hammock work with the tensa and this was the only way I could get it. And this setup was iff’y at best. But it worked. I just use a solo pole, or two now. When I need to. It just doesn’t seem that the rr works all that well with the tensa

How well does it usually work with the RR? I feel like the foot end dogs should be shorter, but I’m not sure how much that would help the head end.

Also, my version is with the ‘biner on the end of the ball loops instead of clipped between the poles (March/April timeframe). Might that do something? It does feel like the hammock “lists” slightly to one side.
