    First Hex Tarp Build

"I'll never build another tarp"-Everyone right after finishing a tarp.

Hex tarp 1.1 silpoly ~11.5' Ridgeline and ~9.5' wide. Plans were mostly from diy gear supply with a few changes.

Looks great man! Nice stitching on the ridge strap too.

Very nice. Do you have a drawing with dimensions you could share?

Thanks the sewing machine only ate it three times but thats significantly lower than my first tarp. I had to seam rip an entire corner reinforcement patch and also an entire hem.

Thanks! The idea for the ridge line seam was given to me from Dutch when I ordered his winter tarp kit and was in way over my head. You have to sew three total seams on top but I really like it on my winter tarp so I did it on this tarp as well.

For sure. I started with this

    http://diygearsupply.com/wp-content/...arp-lowres.jpg

I wanted as close to 12' tarp as I could get. You can almost get a 12' ridgeline tarp with 7 yds of fabric. When I cut the panels out my ridgeline measured 143" the bottom and the bottom measured 77". The material was 58" wide and I didn't cut it. I stuck with the 5" cat cuts on the drawing. After I seam seal it it will be good to go!

I used some things from the winter tarp tutorial on dutchware as well

I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
