Tensa4 and DynaFly Sitting [Without] a Tree, K.I.S.S.....

The other title for this thread was going to be:

Tensa4 and DynaFly - A Match Made in Heaven

I finally had a chance to get out in the yard yesterday and play with my new Tensa4. I'm lovin' it! Here's a link to the full gallery. Seems to me that the DynaFly-Tensa4 synergy deserves its own thread for discussion. I think this combo has so many dynamic variables that they may just be approaching infinite tweaking potential. I'm curious to hear folks' questions and thoughts as I continue to explore them together.

I like the floating vertical pole! Looks like it's basically held in place with tension from the top ridgeline and side "wing" guylines of the tarp...?

    Thanks Kbrooks!

Yeah, it really opens thing up in porch mode doesn't it? I originally only included the end pole for hanging side-by-side but, as Flash Gundelore brought to my attention, it can be really nice to use even when hanging solo.

The pole is actually held in place mostly from its own lateral tension across the Fly in conjuction with the wing shape itself. Without the corner guy lines installed, the end pole will pull the wing fabric into shape on its own. The corners just handle the lay of the rest of the fabric while also determining the end pole's angle to the ground and holding everything in position.
