Cool Morning mist on the bay

As I was taking down my XLC this morning after hang at home on yet another cool fall night , I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take some amazing pics of the view. It was 645 and the sun was just bright enough to make some amazing colors in the sky due to the morning fog that we always get here this time of year as the temps cool off. Normally, it's easy to see the opposite shore 1½ miles away, but this morning I couldn't even see halfway. Though you guys would enjoy the view from my hammock I get when I wake up early this time of year

I guess it's a little early for the geese? You got the life there my friend.

Oh no, they are already starting to show up and form their giant winter gaggle lol.. They tend to move around a lot this time of year still, but come December when it's cold they will all flock together in a giant horde out front. Sometimes there's gotta be 3-400 of them and they go from where we camped on the beach all the way around past my house and over to the other side of the point. Add in the dozens and dozens mallards trying to be heard as well and you can imagine how loud it can get at times! The beach gets COVERED in massive piles of goose poop and I could stuff quite a few quilts if I ever needed to lol . But it's worth it to get pics like that!

Ya know..... Anymore , not much surprises me lol. Although, the spiders have been much better since I sprayed 2 gallons of Ortho on and around my trees. I still have an S load of wolf spiders in the grass and I've been seeing a lot of small ones lately too. I also had a GIANT golden orb weaver with egg sack spin a web on the side of my house, but the 5000 spiders hanging from my ridgeline at night and Assasin bugs hanging in the netting to search for a way in to literally suck my blood, has gotten better. I did kill 2 juvenile ones on my foot end tree the other night though so I might need to spray again lol.

Lol you came to mind tonight when I went out to walk. I came back and from about 8 ft up as far as I could see, there were webs on the side of my apartment building. Not just little ones, I am talking an area up to 20ft high and at least as wide because they started at the end of the building and went across to my bedroom window!!!! I couldnt see the critters well enough to see what kind they were but some were as big as a quarter!
