3.3 ounce asym tarp now available ar Dutchware

Wanna get light, I mean real light. How about a sub 4 ounce DCF tarp. Kitsocowboy has helped bring you the lightest tarp on the market. He made plans for it and it was a very popular DIY build. Now you can get the finished tarp already built. It has reinforced tie outs and ridgeline. With only two tie outs, line management is a snap. The Ridgeline is 11 foot long from tip to tip. For a DCF tarp, it comes in quite affordable. Enjoy!!!

    Packability?

Am I right in assuming this is the same as cuben fiber?

Is it as packable (i.e. squishes down nice and small)?

This will take a hit to the wallet, but satisfy a dream I have had for a long time.

Would love to see a video.

DSM has actually changed the name a few years ago from Cuben Fiber to Dyneema Composite Fabrics (DCF). So this is the same exact thing just a different name.

DCF is a bit more bulky than a regular Sil fabric but it is much lighter.

When are the other style DCF tarps going to be available? Like the ones Hammock Gear offers but made by Dutch?

What's the view like when laying in the hammock? Never used and asym, let alone a tarp that can sit so close to the ridgeline.

Minimal asyms need to be down low to be able to provide protection. Not a lot of viewing space. Keeping the tarp in a skin until needed would be an option.

Of course, bigger asyms can go pretty high. Exactly what happens pitching a rectangular (not square) tarp of any substantial size on the diagonal.

But then, the whole idea of a tarp like this one is small and light.
