    Hey All,

Bringing Twig and the other 'un-named' family out Friday. Both my daughter and spouse have visited the NJ Winter Hang several times over the years, but don't stay out with us. This weekend I've been able to convince them for one night. So, its a start. Gonna be nice and chilly!! Sweet!!!

    Can't wait.

    Temp forecast for the area;

Friday night low 20’s, highs mid 30’s - Sunny - arrive as early as you can, beautiful day
Saturday night low 40’s, highs mid 50’s - Sun and high cloud mix, maybe a little rain, hit or miss
    Sunday day highs mid 50’s

Come on out and enjoy the cold snap on Friday and temps warming up a bit for Sat/Sun.

With luck, temps will be a little cooler than predicted back in the woods.

Bring some wool and hang by the fire.
    Have sherpas, will travel...

The epic shopping for supplies has begun!

If anyone's attendance status has to change, please try to let us know ASAP, as we're going to be buying food by Wednesday (tomorrow), and would like to try and get as close to an accurate count as possible. A lot of last minute additions though, which is awesome! Going to be a great time in the pines

I know there are people attending who are prone to making long-winded speeches, but can we agree that there will be no speeches for this hang? Otherwise, you may have to witness me committing ritual suicide (seppuku or harakiri). I may need a second to sever my head after I disembowel myself with a samurai sword.

Of course, this is the 7TH ANNUAL THANKSGIVING HANG - so maybe a speech is in order. Just warn me before the speech starts so I can go dive in to the river and drown myself.

So I guess you'll have to take Joey for a walk when we pass the baton around the fire, all taking turns 'giving thanks' for some blessing from our lives this year? Looks like we've got a crowd, so that might take a while ... we can give thanks for the SS respite it affords.

But no, no speeches planned. Just food and relaxation.

I don't think beagle Joey will make it this year - Momma won't let him come out and play. Besides, Hawkins Bridge does not appear to be pet-friendly.

Thank you! Shopping the day before Thanksgiving is an epic quest.

    Nope - just in time!

As of now, we're looking at potentially 30 people, give or take a few!

Gonna be a chilly Friday, and possible rain on Saturday (boo!), but that won't keep us from the woods.

    See everyone soon.
