I find the Chameleon bug net and hammock sag preventing me from using much of the extra width. The XLC feels wider to me, even though it isn't. I'm only 5'4", though, but I love wide hammocks.

Do you guys think the extra 5" will make a noticeable difference ?
What is the width of the regular Chameleon ?

Absolutely. I have both standard and wide chameleon and much prefer the wide. I’m 6’3”. My favorite for comfort is still the original Dutch netless wide.

Im 5'10, 250lbs, broad shoulders. I have BB XLC (doublelayer), Regular Chameleon and Wide Chameleon.

    Reg Chameleon: shoulder squeeze
    BB XLC: feels good
Wide Chameleon: shoulder is fine but I find 1.6 Hexon too stretchy.

If I had to make a Chameleon my main hammock I think I would need a wide double layer, but I'm just gonna stick with XLC.

I am 5'11" and 300. I have s regular width chameleon and will likely upgrade to the wide. I sleep well in the regular but do end up on the edge of the material
