    Hanging from Belgium

Long time outdoor enthusiast (backpacking, paragliding, MTB), I discovered hammock camping only six months ago and got addicted right away. Then Hutzelbein (aka Hammockfairy) told me about the forum.

There are very few active hangers in Western Europe but we are slowly getting into it. We are now six of us on the forum from Belgium!

I am in the arms race now. I already acquired a WBB 1.6, a Warbonnet Eldorado 1.7, a customized Dutch half-zipped, a 20F EE Revelation TQ, a 20F Cumulus Selva 250 UQ, a 20F HG Econ Phoenix UQ, a tarp from Yama Mountain Gear, and a Dutch asym tarp. Plus some crazy-light stuff on their way (more later). I hope you will not tell my wife!

This forum is packed with useful information; people are so sweet and responsive. Thanks a lot!

Bon Jour mon Ami et Bienvenue a les Forums du Hammock! Used to live in Belgium in the mid to late 1980s near Mons, actually a small town called Erbisouel. Lots of awesome forests to hang hammocks in and around Belgique. Bon Chance avec les Hammocks et au revoir. Don't worry I won't tell the wife about the thousand plus Euros you spent on all that awesome gear!
