I'm putting a hammock into this Firefly comic book cover

Some of you may know I'm a comics illustrator by trade, and this week I'm working on a cover for a Firefly comic (a spinoff of the science fiction TV show). Anyway, in researching the show, I spotted a hammock hanging in one of the characters' living areas, and of course, I had to work that into my piece. This is an early stage of the work - just pencils, before I do watercolor and ink, which I'll post later.

Anyway... HAMMOCKS: The cultural takeover is inevitable.

Hammocks were actually used on the Apollo missions starting from 12.

It's a little different than when you have an onboard anti-gravity generator.

Double layer!.... or possibly a single 2.6 Hexon net less?

Great spicy artwork cartoon Jcase! Complementing with the many dynamics here on HF.

Good on you mate, have you thought about bringing your work to HF as a weekly/ monthly comic episode?

Hah! Thanks for the kind words. Even a weekly/monthly comic episode would pull me away too much from my other work commitments, I'm afraid. What I can do is keep showing hammock-related art as I generate it for my next graphic novel, which contains quite a few (less spicy) hammock moments.

Yes, anti-gravity generators are handy for really dialing in that 30 degree angle.

Oh my gosh, this is awesome. I've read several of these comics and loved them. This is an odd worlds-colliding experience for me. Great artwork! Thanks for posting.
