    Europe Recommendations

Anyone got any recommendations for multi day hammock trips in Europe? I've taken my hammock to Estonia, Norway, Ireland Sweden and Romania. Anywhere else I should check out?

I would say Slovakia near Bratislava looks good per the pics taken by Kardinal Emilius. Also try the Mont Blanc Alps region in France, but will be getting very cold soon as we get into Fall and Winter. Rouskouf could advise better about French areas as he is from Paris. I am unsure of the hammock camping regulations there.

Two weeks ago I section hiked the Kammweg trail (total length 289 km) in the Ore mountains along the german-czech border. Wonderful landscape and thousands of trees to hang my hammock.

If you plan on hiking there are a lot of trails across Switzerland. Wild camping is tolerated (emphasis on tolerated) in public forests as long as they are not animal preserves.

Wild camping is allowed anywhere above the tree level (~2000m).

It depends on anyone's taste. I like wilderness mingled with some signs of historical human occupation. I do not like much the typical "popular hiking trails" with modern signposts at each crosspath.
France is a great country for what I like, and very varied and not too densely populated. If you plan a trip to France I very highly recommend the "Iphigenie" app used on a tablet. It is a GPS using the wonderful IGN maps : all the territory is covered by 1:250.000 maps and having them available on your phone or tablet is unvaluable. There you can select spots that seem suitable for your likes (declivity, height, tree types, villages, etc.)
I personally favor the relatively small mountains : Cevennes, Vercors, Chartreuse, Jura...
I also use a Europe population density map to select my destinations. That gives me an idea if it is going to be busy or not. The Vosges, for example, are a beautiful mountain, but the places near Colmar or Munster, and I suspect the whole mountain group, are too densely visited by hikers for me.
