    Hello from Wisconsin

    Hello fellow hangers,

I started Hanging this spring on my trip to the Porkies. The first night I spent in my tent and froze my butt off, so I figured nights 2 and 3 could not be worse in a hammock, all be it a cheap one from Menards. I have never slept better in my life. I came home and started looking on the web for a new hammock, I purchased a Dutchware Chameleon and could not be happier. I have spent 3 nights in the Chameleon at Cubscout camp and experienced the same best sleep ever! I have a few more trips planned on the Ice Age Trail for this year and cannot wait to plan trips for next year, I am hooked.

Welcome from the north. Perfect place for a first hang.

Hi there from a little ways south. I make a lot of trips to WI and consider it a home away from home. Was just there over the past weekend (Minocqua area where some family lives).

I salute your choice in hammock! Now that you're hooked, prepare the wallet for all those fine Chameleon accessories and other Dutchware gear.

    Welcome to the forum!

When I moved to Wisconsin in 2000, I knew only one person - one of my 1st cousins and he lives in Plymouth now with his family. Nice area.

And you are so lucky to live in this state. We have hammock group hangs ALL the time! I keep a list of regional ones in my signature and they are always listed under the "Hangouts, Campouts, and Trip Planning > Midwest". We have a couple more this year, hope to meet you at one of them!

    Welcome,

I'm in Illinois myself but after less than stellar sleep nights on the ground trying all kinds of sleep systems I saw the light and had amazing sleep in a hammock.

Its a slippery slope so beware however, you are on the right track for sure with anything from Dutch.
