I just ordered a 600' spool of Amsteel Blue from LFS Marine and Outdoors. It is 1/8 inch and was $101 for the spool with free shipping. I had been shopping around and that seemed like a solid deal.

That is a great deal on a per-foot basis (17 cents per foot). I would be going nuts splicing stuff.

Pretty good deal. I check their site often. I’ve picked up two 660 spools of 7/64 (blue and black) for about $65 each...I may have way too much amsteel. But I’m sure I’ll use it at some point.
