Question Best Fabric for Full Time Indoor Use?

Due to allergies I'm unable to sleep/breath comfortably in a normal bed so I decided to try a hammock, I purchased this one http://www.amazon.com/Hammock-Sky-Brazilian-Double-Backyard/dp/B00PB03YA2 the quality of the cotton is poor in my opinion, very rough, and at 59" wide I felt like I needed a little more room. After being opened to the world of hammocks and finding this site, I now realize I can make my own for cheaper and the material higher quality by doing so. Im going to buy the DIY kit from RSBTR, but I can't decide on a fabric. I'm thinking hexon 1.6 xl or hyperd 1.6 xl, after reading through posts on here those seem to be the top two feel & comfort wise. Im 6'4 & 180 lbs, any help or recommendations on what would be best full time use, would be greatly appreciated.

I am 6'1" and about 160lbs. I own several hammocks in different fabrics, but the favorite in my stable is Hexon 1.6. I also like Hexon 1.0 very much, but the 1.6 edges it out by a narrow margin.

Best Fabric for Full Time Indoor Use?

I am about 150 pounds and I use Robic 1.2 fabric on the trail and a 1.1 Coyote Tan fabric (only available at SLD) for my indoor hammock. You may not necessarily need a 1.6 for indoor use. I suggest you try the Robic 1.2. It is a wide fabric, which you will need at 6’4”. 58” ain’t gonna cut it for you at all. Neither will 10’ in length. Make sure to go 11’ or 12’.

I've seen several positive references in the forums to the LA SIESTA Carolina Double as a full time indoor option: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CBNRES/

I believe Todd is a member (Latherdome?) here on the forums: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-r...SIN=B00066LHWI

Cotton seems to be the consensus for full time hanging for feel and ease of laundering.

EDIT: Sorry, I read the original post to quickly and you weren't asking for options on cotton, but on DIY materials. Apologizes.

Im leaning towards hexon 1.6 as I read it provides a firmer lay over hyperd, thanks for your input.

How does the robic feel compared to hexon and hyperd?

I would enjoy getting a higher quality cotton hammock but my budget is around $70 unfortunately

I agree about a 11' length and wide fabric being the right choice for someone of your height.

Hexon 1.6 is available in wide, but Hexon 1.0 is not, IIRC.

From my experience at 160lbs, Hexon 1.6 has very little noticeable stretch, so does provide a firm yet comfortable lay.

Cotton for indoors, synthetic for outdoors. Silk for either one.
    Wide silk = https://www.dharmatrading.com/fabric...m-70-inch.html

The cotton hammock I have now has very little bed space although it's advertised at a double, I didnt do enough research into it unfortunately. Looking forward to building my own and giving myself a lot more room!
