Silk Rd hammock with bugnet. Nice economy choice

I recently did a video review on a hammock that was fairly nice out of the bag. But adding a ridgeline made it a very nice and serviceable hammock. And... it was available at vipon for $17.50. It is now on vipon for $16.

a friend picked up one of these. it was a little disappointing. the ridgeline it comes with isn't a real ridgeline... it was shock cord. the mosquito netting was very delecate and had rather large holes - not typical hammock mosquito netting.

I too bought the same hammock and deem it a nice economy choice as bobamos pointed out in this thread. I snagged it for just over $11 on Vipon when there was a price drop and my 9 year old daughter has really enjoyed the hammock on a few nights we've tested it. As a matter of fact we're going camping tonight and we'll be using same hammock with an HG underquilt. If you're friend is budget conscious and wants better quality I'd steer him to the Skeeter Beeter Pro. At campsaver.com they've currently got it at $45 plus you can apply the 20% off outlet coupon which brings it down to $36. I'd buy another one myself if it weren't I'm loaded down with hammocks.
