Yep, those updates are very important so we don't have 200+ hangers spread throughout Florida.

    And.... that update is:

The location for HangCon 2019 is:

    Sertoma Youth Ranch
    83 Myers Road
    Brooksville, FL 34602

The weekend after MLK Weekend. Just off of I-75 West Central Florida about 40 miles North of Tampa

If you don't figure it out, I guess you can stay a little longer until we all leave the site

WoooHoooo. I hope the same. I'll be happy to have a spoonful just to taste. Wait, is it spicy? I like the flavor of spicy. I just can't handle the heat.

I'm planning on bringing my dutch oven and cooking chili and mountian man. My crew and I will have snack and sandwiches to fill in between.

My question is, would it be logistically smarter to cook near where I hang and cart it into the community area, or should I drop all my supplies in the community area and show up prepared to cook? The cooking is my favorite part, but I will need trees to hang so I'm trying to figure it out.

If you want to use your equipment in the Camp Kitchen, make sure you mark every piece you bring.

That said, I leave most of my equipment for others to also use in the Camp Kitchen. Some of my items I leave at my camp for use with my family due to specific nutritional/allergy needs.

Also, specify if your equipment is to be only used by yourself or if can be used by others if you leave in the Camp Kitchen.

    I like typing "Camp Kitchen"

    Oooooo!(is that a word?)

I'm so in need of a new hammock. My 8+ YO hammock is so worn out with little holes, I'm afraid it may fail on me at any given moment. Need more raffle tickets.

I am flying into Orlando around 6am Friday. Would anyone be willing to give a couple hikers down on their luck a ride to the hang then.

Do we have final word on the food, as far as how much we should plan to provide for ourselves. Also is there still going to be a Dutch oven circle one of the nights. Not sure if those plans changed with the location.

I expect that like in years past, breakfast and dinner will be covered daily at this point. One of the benefits of an upgrade with power to spare. I'm not promising mountain man breakfasts but I can promise oatmeal (real oatmeal) and cheesy bacon grits at least for breakfast.

I only purchased 600 coffee cups, so everyone should try to use their own cups whenever possible.

All the food sounds so great. Is this going to be a potluck kinda of deal. If so I'm a horrible cook and was wondering if there is anything I can bring to help out?
