Long time reader - first time posting

Hey all - I stumbled upon this website some time ago and had just been creeping on all the insightful posts.

A little bit about me - I'm an adaptive backpacker (Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury - walk with forearm crutches and braces) based out of the Midwest. The vast majority of my adventuring is spent on the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Currently, I'm a tent camper (2+ Person for myself and my dog), but looking to lighten my load and invest in a hammock system.

This winter I'm going to test my hand in the world of DIY and trying to design a system for myself and my pup.

I can't wait to share my progress and be a part of this community!

Also, any advice for a newbie is greatly appreciated! Happy Hammocking!

The folks in the DIY forum would probably have many ideas to help you with your design and many of them love a challenge.
