    Hello from Little Switzerland, NC

Hey everyone, been hammock camping for about 1 1/2 to 2 years. I have been using cheaper gathered end hammocks from amazon, which is a great way to get into hammock camping. My current setup is a Hike Guru double hammock, witch comes with some pretty cool tree straps with fully adjustable metal cinch buckles, Bear Butt rain fly, OneTigris 3 season underquilt, and a SnugPak Jungle Blanket. It's not the most high end setup by far, but works pretty well for me and is a pretty decent setup on a budget. But I do have a Amok Draumr XL with pad and borg tarp on preorder and I can't wait until April. Me and my buddies do most of our camping in the Linville Gorge Wilderness campsites near Wiseman's View. Anyway, I look forward to all the info and resources available on this forum.

    Thanks, and Hang On.

Welcome from the GA coast. Hope you did not get damage from Florence. Are the roads open around you, especially BRP?

Thanks Bob, We got a good bit of rain, Mt. Mitchell got over 15" and the rivers coming off did flood some areas but nothing too bad. They closed the Parkway as a safety precaution but it has been re-opened. Thankfully the storm weakened and we didn't get it too bad by the time it got here.

Welcome from a little bit east of you! HIGHLY recommend coming out to either the Medoc Mountain SP hang at the end of October, or the Yates Hang the weekend after. Its a great way to meet some awesome people, see some really cool setups, and eat some really good food!

Welcome from the "Quay." Love that area of the Pisgah!
