Bad hang and still good sleep

Friday night I hung my hammock in my backyard in the dark so that I could get some practice in. Well it was a bad hang, the foot end is lower then the head end, I'm not centered on the tarp it was just a mess. However I slept in it anyway as is.

It didn't rain so being tarp centered didn't matter, but because of the foot end not being high enough I had a really bad fold that was digging into my calf. Scooted up as far to the head end as I could get and stuffed a bit of my quilt under my calf and got myself pretty comfy. Yes I could have just fixed the hang, but I was too tired to fiddle. I ended up getting a really good night's sleep, so well that I didn't adjust and slept in it again last night.

However this morning, I woke up to squirrels running along my suspension and throwing acorns down from the trees. Glad I put that tarp up or else I probably would have been hit by the acorns. Anyone else have problems with squirrels like this?

We have a pecan tree in the yard and the squirrels are collecting, chewing and dropping on my rig. It will pass shortly. The dogs are well entertained at least.

I have never just left it as is, if it does not feel right it just takes minutes to fix, but I would have got a kick out of the squirrels

Squirrels are the spawn of Satan. They throw crap at you just out of spite. I had a back yard squirrel who thought it was really funny to jump up, kick me in the chest, and then laugh hysterically (at least I think he was laughing). Even my wife (who doesn't normally pay attention to squirrels) said, "That squirrel is evil."

Chipmunks aren't much better. I had a chipmunk go in my pack and steal my Bahco folding saw. What was he gonna do with it? I threw a stick at him when he was halfway up the tree and he dropped my saw.

He needed it to cut some stubborn nuts from the tree!!!

Yeah when I lived in Monroe NY we had some crazy squirrels, but the ones here in Ohio are differently spawns of Satan.
