    Agreed about Big Bend. If you hiked in the Chisos Mountains & Basin area, I think you'd have a better opportunity to use your hammock. Having done the Outer Mountain Loop a couple of times, I can tell you there is no chance of using your hammock for most of it.

    Big Bend is awesome in the fall & winter time and very remote.

    Now you’re making me homesick. We used to own land just outside the park in Terlingua. Went there yearly for mule deer season and alway made a trip to the park. I’ve never had a chance to do any of the long trails there, but definitely on my list to go back.

    White Mountains. I hiked my first 4,000 footer over my July 4th break and would love to take down another (or 5)!!
