Newbie from NC

Greetings Everyone,

While I have a lot of experience camping and backpacking, I am new to hammocking. I'm involved in Scouting, and it seems like the other adults have been moving to hammocks. A while back, I decided to invest in a new tent to replace my 17 year old two man tent. Wife suggested going to a hammock. Spent some time talking to a friend about hammocks, and he lent me one of his. IT WAS THE MOST COMFORTABLE SLEEP EVER! So I made the plunge.

I have a silnylon tarp I got off of Amazon. Gonna save up to replace ASAP since I have some issues with it. Son got a Warbonnet MamaJamba, and it looks like one great product. Finished seam sealing it a few days ago. Only reason he has not tested it yet is Hurricane Florence.

I have a Warbonnet Eldorado that I have played with some. IT IS AWESOME! I cannot wait to use it for camping.

Thanks all and I hope everyone is safe and sound. We lucked out big time in Wilson.

As for Medoc Mountain, Oh man I wish. I'm committed to running an event at a Scout camporee that weekend. At least I'l be running the tomahawk range.

As for the start, I need to thank a friend of mine for that. He's been into hammocking for some time. He lent me gear to try and has had a lot of patience answering questions.
