    Mini flyers?

I would like to ask the mini fly owners if they have enjoyed some rainy overnighters or any inclement weather that they would like to share how it made out, any comparisons or tips to share as I am leaning towards investing in a new tarp!

I have an Edge. That's much like the Mini but without the little wings. I love it in all but the worst of weather. Rainy nights, even with moderate wind, have been no problem at all. The Mini has to be AT LEAST as good!

Haven't had mine in a bad storm, but it has kept me dry in some pretty hard rain with windy conditions. If I expect something too heavy I take my mountainfly.

I'm really happy with my minifly. Got some bad weather and it didn't let me down.

I will never go camping if I know that is possible to face an inclement weather.

I'm in porch mode almost all of the time, and like having that dry space to work with. The Minifly was too short IMO, so I went with the Thunderfly. It's a winner! I don't know if I'll use my Mamajamba much after getting this. For a 1.65oz difference compared to the Minifly, I feel it was a wise choice. They pack to the same size.

    Mini flyers?

Stayed the night hanging under my Minifly in the nastiest rain I have ever been in and it kept me dry. Rained HARD for hours.

No need to worry. But, if you do, the Superfly is also extremely nice. I have both.

I should also mention . . . make sure you have drip line(s) and they are UNDER the tarp.

Good point. I think the lesson is, no (appropriate sized) tarp should get you wet. It's just the amount of space you want to have dry, and how low/high you want to hang it.

I have and use the Superfly as it's my one and only tarp thus far but was thinking for the amount of times that I really require that type of protection in the back woods, I was thinking to lighten the load without too much sacrifice.

If you already have the Superfly, the Minifly should be a great addition!
