    Hanging From a Car?

As this topic seems to come up now and then, I thought I would pass on this photo taken at a music festival parking lot. Sweet budget set up, including the French press in the right foreground, classy touch.
    Sorry, can’t fix the tilt.

You can download the image and rotate it and then repose. Here's the image rotated.

I can see it now: a Tensahedron balanced on my Yakima roof rack!

What'd be really cool is to see a Tensa 4 balanced on Baxter Peak, but would be difficult since the anchor screw can't go into solid rock. As for using the vehicles for anchor points, I attempted to do this with an anchor point in my 2003 tundra pickup tailgate anchor point, but it would have rubbed by bed liner too much so I opted not to do that. I've heard of folks using their "Oh Crap" grab bars as anchor points, however, I've never tried that myself.

I’ve got this working using half a tensa and my Jeep. Works great. I’ll take some photos over the weekend.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same

If I was going to hang on a car or truck.
I’d keep keys in a storage bag securely in hammock. Set emergency brake and chock tires with small stones. You don’t want to wake up in a hospital and slowly have memory coming back of being dragged down road—on someone’s quick drive to store.
Almost every year, I read about a home construction worker anchoring himself on peaked roof—and tossing rope over peaked roof and tied to work truck on other side of house. Then someone has to make a quick drive to store for more supplies. The construction worker gets dragged up over peak and down other side only to drop one or two stories and then get dragged until the work truck stops.
Unlikely to happen to anyone in a hammock hanging on a car—-still I’d keep all keys in hammock storage bag in hammock.

That is up there. Would make it interesting getting up in the middle of the night. Especially if you were in a hurry.
