Tried your advice and still can’t book a single night. Think it is because it’s Saturday. I’m going to call the office tomorrow when they open and see. Maybe it’s user error or because I’m using my phone.

Just a heads up to anyone else who may be planning this trip - the Brendan T. Byrne campground does not allow single day reservations through the website or in advance. All single day reservations for thru hikers must be made in person or on the phone on the day you plan to stay.

I did it in the spring. I booked at Brendan Byrne for the first night though, and during the week.

I called recently as well. I was told the same thing about calling the day of or later the day before. Not possible to book one day online. Clicking "Batona Trail" is part of a search function only.

Wow! I know I booked it in the spring, I just went online and tried again. I see what you mean, the system won’t allow it now. I wonder why?

This is the best map I know.

This maps shows 50 miles, but I believe it's been extended to 52.3 or 52.7 miles since then.

Thanks. I've seen this one. I was hoping for something I can carry with me. I don't think I can print this big enough to be usable on the trail. Can you buy them at the park office maybe? I have to rely on electronics. I know the trail is supposed to be well blazed, but I always feel best with a good map and compass.
