WOW...a response from Shug Almighty! I feel like a celebrity. Thank you everyone for the comments and help. Yes, we will be going during the week. That is one of the benefits of homeschooling. I hate the crowds and that is why we are looking for an out of the way place to hang.

I’ll toss out a local secret that’s a bit of a hidden gem in WNC. Take your boys to Fires Creek in Clay County. If you’re looking for seclusion, Fires Creek during the week is it. Campsites are very spread out and almost all of them are right on the creek stocked with trout as part of a wildlife management program.
