I don't have a good picture handy but Kyle does- https://ripstopbytheroll.com/collect...-ripstop-nylon
Look at the last picture showing the fabric being sewn on the sewing machine.
A more accurate name would be 'Superman Blue' in my opinion.
I wouldn't call it dull- but it's basic crayola blue rather than the more navy shaded blue in the color picture.
I agree it might not help you any regarding expectations vs reality in the digital age of viewing something on a screen... but I can at least confirm for you that you got what you ordered.
Reality as well... having ordered full rolls of many of these fabrics I can tell you there is a minor variation in all fabric from roll to roll at times too. Barely noticeable unless you look at two side by side and look very hard.
The color fidelity on the RBTR website is poor; it's a nice shade of blue, but it's lighter and less saturated than what is depicted.

Yes it does.
At minimum- it's clearly Robic Hybrid.
Dutch does use an 8 way ripstop grid on one of his fabrics, but they Hybrid uses that telltale 'bright' yarn that flashes in the light.
As a final check- the only other 'error' that could have occured...
If you put it on the scale you'd be able to tell if it was Robic 1.2 or Robic 1.7
I can tell by hand feel- but guessing you might not be able to?
If the hammock weighs a good bit less than the projected finished weight then...
Been a bit since I used them... but I think it wouldn't be impossible to mix up 1.7 Vadar Blue and 1.2 Glacial Blue if someone happened to have mixed up the material order along the way.
Otherwise... there are only those two blues available in the hybrid fabric so it is what it is.
Hindsight is 20/20- but if you're really picky about what you're getting it's worth springing for the fabric samples to see it in person.

Hexon comes in a brilliant blue (close) and Moroccan Blue (not close)- but as mentioned... the Robic Hybrid flashes in the light, while the Hexon is flatter/more uniform in color.
Finally- Contact the vendor who made it for you if you're not sure.
If they had two different blue hammocks going through the shop they'd possibly remember and be able to eliminate that possibility.
I suspect it's simply expectations vs reality on the color... but poop occurs.
Nice blue. Where the heck does the "vader" come from? I mean, if it were black...

thanks everyone. I ordered the hammock from SLD and he ordered the material from ripstop by the roll so I'm not question jared doing it wrong but just wasn't sure if he accidentally got sent the wrong color. it wasn't the color I was thinking it was going to be, but I do like the color though.
thanks again for your help
