However you've truly got something special here I think, taking a lot of different hammock mods and combining it into one simple "swiss army" of a tarp. Really well done. Between this and Warbonnet my faith has been restored that innovation and hard work do still exist It's been a good year for the tarp.
This is a very kind thing to say. Thank you alifeoutdoors!

I share your cinicism regarding many of the new "revolutionary" products that have emerged in the past few years. It's sad to say but I'm seeing too much marketing and too little true innovation in the world overall these days. I'm super stoked about the Tensa 4 stand for this reason also. The buzz on their thread feels like a number of years ago when everything in the hammock world felt like a true innovation. I can't wait to get my hands on a Tensa 4 to try out with my DynaFly. My gut says they are a match made in heaven.

Here's to creativity and true innovation!

Ditto. If possible, I avoid putting the tarp up at all just for that reason.

Great Work! Now only if I had one! It might take me 5 years to learn to sew! Awesome, Work!

Totally! And when it is raining, I can't count the amount of times that I got even more wet when a miscalculated duck turns into a shaken tarp dropping all its stored water onto my back. It really is nice to be able to unclip, open the vestibule over you, step in, turn, and reclip. Does involve a little bending over to clip and unclip though. :-)

Thanks Ultrarunner! After 5 years of sewing, I still feel like a novice some days. ;-)

I just did my own DIY tarp but compared to yours, mine is from the Flintstones to your Jestsons.

Pretty sweet design and love the creativity. Good job on the video too.

    Thanks Obdewlax!

Haha, Jetsons. I have to say I'm still a fan of foot powered locomotion though.

I can't take credit for the photo and video. That's due to my wonderful and talented wife, Jamie VanBuhler. I shot the video on my go pro but she put it all together. She sure makes me look good. ;-)

Aerodynamics and great good looks is a pretty fine combo, and I'm a big fan of a nice view.

If you want someone to take an unbiased look at one of your prototypes, I do just that on my blog [link below], and could drag it along to the Lighthouse and Lobster Hang Sept 7-9 here in Maine for some other folks to see and opinionate on. I'll even return it and only reveal what you want about construction deetz, etc.
If one makes it to Maine, you BETTER bring it down to me and set it up out back so I can see it!!! (No way I can make it to the lighthouse hang unfortunately)

To add to what everyone has said, I want one! A truly innovative piece of gear!
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Thank you for that video! It really shows it well. I stand by my comment last week that it really reminds me of our stunt kites! Very cool!

I too thank you for the video. That is truly an amazing design. It's like having an actual roof over your hammock. Awesome!!

Any quick and dirty tutorial coming, or will this style be available somewhere soon?
