Question Tato Hammock Stand vs. Eno Hammock Stand.

Hi All, I could not find a thread of comparison on this Site between Tato Hammock Stand vs. Eno Hammock Stand. I am very curious which is a better fit for me. I have a Warbonnet XLC, A Dream Hammock, and a Eno Day hammock. I plan to use it for car camping and festivals.

Here are the specs i have so far. I am no sure of the height yet thought that would be helpful. Your opinion as always is helpful. Thanks.

    Tato Specs
    • Capacity – 500 lbs (226.7kg)
    • Weight – 24 lbs (10.9kg)
    • Top Rail Length – 13.1 ft (4m)
    • Breaks down to fit a 45″ x 8″ Bag

    Eno Specs.
    • 13 ft. 9 in. x 4 ft. 2 in. x 4 ft. 8 in.
    • 34 x 11 x 10 inches
    • Aluminum
    • 300 pounds
    • 15 pounds

At that price point, you’d probably get more utility out of a Tensa4 stand. There’s a couple of huge threads about it here on the forums. (https://www.tensaoutdoor.com/product...order-deposit/)

May want to consider the Tensa stand also.

    Tensa Specs
    • Capacity – 300+ lbs
    • Weight – 11 lbs (5 kg)
    • Top Rail Length – none required
    • Breaks down to fit a 32″ x 8″ Bag

Poles breakdown to 31" and it weighs 11 lbs. other stats are from memory.

Even better - the Tensa Outdoors stand breaks down to 20" x 4" x 4"

Tensa stand is rated to 400lbs, not 300 like the ENO. More comparison points: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...5M0atjT5V22l2c

I would highly recommend the Tato stand if you want a simple to use heavy duty stand that doesn't require a circus act to hang in. While it is heavier it's more forgiving when you exit your hammock and doesn't require screwing anything in the ground link the Tensa stand does which can be an issue in certain parts of the country.

You have just reached 100% hammock geek status! Or whoever made that spreadsheet anyways. LOL!!!

I'm still trying to decide on Tensa or Tato!!! I really just need to order a Tensa and try it. I am a little concerned about tarps with it as ours are 12' tarps. Anyways, that's another discussion for another thread.

    Good luck!!!

I’m thinking about a Tensa stand. I have an ENO Nomad - which is too small to use with my Chameleon but works OK with my ENO DN, the TATO - which sets up nice but doesn’t fit in the room in the house... and I want to figure out a way to set my hammock up in the bedroom to sleep full time as I’m more comfortable in it than the bed - but am tired of sleeping in separate bedrooms...

How about permanently attaching it to the walls?

I am in the same boat. What have you found out?
I am in the market and have saved for a Tato, but they've been out of stock since March...it is now June. They have no idea when they will get any in. I looked into the eno stand, but I too have a Chameleon, so TY for the statement you said about the stand being too small for your Chameleon! So now I'm looking at Tensa, but seems much more complicated to set up. What did you go with? How's it working? What should I even be looking for in a stand? I want it to hang in my back yard or take to places that don't have enough trees (friends house).
