I'm still trying to decide on Tensa or Tato!!! I really just need to order a Tensa and try it. I am a little concerned about tarps with it as ours are 12' tarps. Anyways, that's another discussion for another thread.

    Good luck!!!
What did you land on? How is it working? I have 12' tarp with doors.

I have 2 early production Tato Stands with extra straps, which were made by Dutchware (upon resquest, gotta love Dutch). I’ll sell one to whomever for $2K….just kidding! But hey, if there’s a market.

The Tato Stand need a walk around every time prior to loading yourself into the hammock, checking straps and legs. It takes two people to handle the Tato if things get wonky and pipe is tumbling. That’s happened several times, but was user error entirely.

I love these stands but they are heavy (I’m old). That’s why I have a stand for both floors at home.

I have both the Tato and Tensa stands. The Tato is big and heavy but bomb proof when setup. The Tensa is about half the weight and takes a few backyard setups to be totally confident it actually works and won't eat you in your sleep.

I still tend to use the Tato when car camping, but if I have to hike in a bit and need to bring my own trees, the Tensa comes along.
