I had an Epiphany/ Possible solution/ New idea?

    IMG_20200108_014140593.jpgIMG_20200108_014140593.jpg

I have read all 35 pages of this thread and today at HD I found that 1" EMT will tight fit inside of the 1 3/8"s OD fence top rail w/ Swedged end. I realize 4 sections is not sound but it is only 3 connections and a larger diameter can handle more weight. So longer length is possible? My drawing is very crude but I feel the concept is sound. Please tell me your thoughts.

The only reason I was excited about this is I can pack it on my motorcycle and slide pipes inside of pipes to keep the bulk down. Is this a possible solution? When I sell my tow behind trailer I will be able to purchase a real Tensa4. Until then I have to try and secure another solution. I really like my Hammock and the options are limited sometimes.

I'm thinking of building one of these stands, but I have a question that I haven't seen an answer for yet. How much strain is put on the anchor point at the foot of the stand? I'm thinking of using this while in hotels, but I don't know if I'll be able to find a suitable anchor point inside.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Anchor strain at the tipping point is zero. Strain with a steep tilt on the stand can approach about half the user’s weight. Steady load is somewhere in between. Typing to a door hinge pin is ideal. Tie to a shoe and close it behind a closet door. Doorstop. Radiator. Window hardware. Tie to bedframe, then set up atop the bed. Worst case, pack collapsible water jugs able to hold half your weight in water: gravity anchor directly below foot apex.

Hey, PropellerHead, Latherdome beat me to it! Here's a thread with several suggestions re. the same question: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/151234-Tensa4-Any-non-invasive-floor-anchors-for-indoor-use-out-there?highlight=tensa+indoor
Edited to add: Careful anchoring to window frames and interior (e.g., closet) doors, since in my experience they're not always securely anchored to wall studs!

I did not see a PM. The design as I laid it out, holds a 350lb person with margin.

Finally playing with my diy stand and a gathered end hammock. I always used my 90 degree.

Nothing I do loosens up the Ridgeline. It pretty much stay guitar string tight. What am I doing wrong?
