Does any manufacturer make a 1/2 underquilt (maybe 40-ish)? At 56 the 52 UQ is a bit overkill for summer temps in NC. I imagine I could do a custom order, but wondered if they were already out there.

The Warbonnet Yeti is 46" long
From website:
The Yeti is our underquilt for end-gathered hammocks like our Blackbird, Blackbird XLC and Traveler series, but will also work on just about any end-gathered design.
The Yeti is a torso-length underquilt (40″ wide by 46″ long), covering roughly from shoulders to almost your knees, you’d then use a short leg pad under your legs in colder weather to achieve head to toe bottom insulation.
Shug
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
The Yeti is nice. I recommend adding secondary suspension to it. Not at all hard to do.
Enlightened Equipment makes an Xshort. I'm 6' and loved mine. 45"x45"
Fellow NC guy here...go Wilderness Logics also of NC, I have their Summer Series quilt, all of 46 in long, super light and super effective for Carolina temps.
Nice. Thanks for the suggestions!

If you want something that is the ultimate in ultra-light you should check out locolibregear.com Recon Series of quilts. The 60° Recon Series Ghost Pepper top quilt is a 3/4 length with airy light 900 fill power goose down weighing between 6-8 ounces. The under quilt is 50" long an rated to 60° and weighs only 5.7 ounces. So for less than 12-14 ounces you have a 3/4 set of quilts rated at 60° but I've taken mine to 57° (so far) and did't need any other insulation. Perfect for the Southern US in late spring, all summer, and early fall.

I was comfortable down to 55F in my LLG Recon quilts, and I've taken the Operator Habanero UQ all the way down to 45F. Super light, super high-quality, meets its specs, and performs better than advertised. That's LLG.
